Engine Automated Testing and Emission Test Cell Integration - A major focus for research and development teams has been the dramatic drive for cleaner, more economical engines, as the emission levels have dramatically decreased the testing systems have become more sophisticated to provide the accurate simulations necessary for the development and calibration engineers. Recognising these demands, Froude Hofmann's engine test control system; Genysis, utilises latest generation electronics, software and high speed network techniques to provide a fully integrated engine/dynamometer control and data acquisition system.
In combination with a Froude Hofmann AC dynamometer, simulated ‘in-vehicle' testing of an engine helps reduce development time and provide correlation between data produced by a vehicle tested on a chassis dynamometer. For this transient test capability specific features are provided to enable full vehicle modeling (including road load parameters, transmission definition, clutch simulation) and drive cycle definition, editing, and management with full data Logging and analysis tools.
Genysis provides the complete solution; with dedicated software for emission testing, ECU communication (including ASAM-MCD, K-Line or CAN), engine ECU Optimisation Interface (ASAM-ACI) for calibration development and ASAM ODS for data transfer. Operational efficiency is provided by an advanced Graphical User Interface with multi language options ensuring ease of operation for the global test market.
