Froude opens a New Office in Australia

Froude Hofmann Ltd has established a sales and service centre  in Melbourne Australia.  Starting in September 2008 with a factory trained technical support and service engineer, Froude Hofmann Australia is rapidly growing and recently occupied its permanent home in Rowville, a South Eastern suburb of Melbourne.

Peter Skalak – General Manager :
Peter has an engineering background and also been instrumental in establishing and successfully expanding several businesses in the Asia Pacific region before joining FHA.  This experience; based on sound customer support and strong relationships is the same philosophy that all Froude Hofmann offices operate and succeed with.

David Berry – Technical Service Engineer :
David  has an engineering technician background with many years experience in Test cell operation and management.  This provides an in-depth understanding of the customers’ needs.  David has undergone extensive product and diagnostic training at the Froude Hofmann head office in Worcester, England.  This coupled with his understanding of the test cell environment, backed up by the extensive resources available on the FH Technical support help-line and the availability of a local spares holding ensures FHA  provide exceptional and proactive Customer support.

The modern facility includes a reception/meeting and exhibition area with full office facilities on the 2nd floor including main meeting room, product training & conference facilities.  The workshop area is being organised with storage for spare parts, work benches, strip and rectification station and light machine tools.

Dave and Peter are already establishing contact with many existing Froude Hofmann dynamometer users who are pleased to receive experienced local support for existing and potential new engine, gas turbine and vehicle test equipment.  New customers are also quickly being established with orders from the University of New South Wales, Airworks Ltd New Zealand, the Australian Army and a major new contract for “state of the art” engine test cell and vehicle chassis dynamometer with the highly respected Kangan Batman Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) in central Melbourne.
