The Froude Hofmann range of Emissions Chassis Dynamometers provide precise road load simulation equivalent to that actually experienced by the vehicle on the road or test track. Utilising industry standard 48” rolls, testing for 2WD, 4WD and fully independent roller configurations for legislative emissions testing on light or medium duty vehicles is possible.
The Froude Hofmann Emissions Chassis Dynamometer provides an extremely accurate, repeatable and responsive electrical inertia simulation dynamometer, exceeding the demanding performance criteria laid down by the US EPA directive and the global automotive industry.
The chassis dynamometer utilises an AC motor centrally mounted between the rolls that provides a compact, low maintenance design.
The dynamometer and peripheral equipment are designed for quick and efficient set-up, with an important emphasis on operator safety and ease of use. The self compensating effect of the load measurement system provides a ‘friction free’ machine. All equipment is mounted on a single substantial steel underframe providing rigidity, low vibration and ease of installation.
Emission chassis dynamometer solutions are also available for truck and motorcycle applications.
