In the past the Wheel Alignment Machine was solely designed for the adjustment of toe respectively the Roll Test Stand was designed for functional and brake tests, nowadays the same test stand must take over a huge amount of additional functions, because all newly developed vehicles are equipped with a high number of electric components. In order to recognize and correct possible errors at an early stage, the vehicle and whose components must be tested after the final assembly. Advances in the design and performance have led to increased flexibility, with the replacement of mechanical functions by electric or electronic solutions.
